Eric Gaskin
Working closely with Huber de Givenchy as an apprentice, Eric
learned the technique and craftsmanship that have become his signature
today. After returning to the states, and working for established
designers such as koos van den Akker, Bob Evans and Scott Barrie,
he opened his own house in 1988.
Eric draws his inspiration from art, nature, and popular culture.
Sensuous line achieved through precise cut and unusual fabric
combinations is the focus of Eric's work. Though he has no particular
woman in mind when he designs, the clothes give her confidence,
allowing her to dream. She is of no particular age, but possesses
a mindset, which is drawn to subtlety, as opposed to the overt.
Eric is fortunate to include on his list of celebrity clients…Melanie
Griffith, Vanessa Williams, Maria Shriver, Jennifer Lopez, Goldie
Hawn and Angela Bassett.
